Holloway Lodging Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: HLR.UN) ("Holloway" or the "REIT") announced today Mr. Michael Jackson has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Holloway, effective September 15, 2007.
In addition to his responsibilities with Holloway, Mr. Jackson will also assume the role of President, Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. manages 10 of the 20 properties owned by Holloway.
Mr. Jackson has been in the hospitality industry for over 35 years and has held a number of senior executive positions in the industry. He has served as Chairman of the Hotel Association of Canada and is still a member of its Board of Directors as well as participating on numerous other industry-related boards.
